Colm O’hEocha (AgileInnovation)
As founder and principle of AgileInnovation, Colm has supported large scale Agile and Kanban adoptions in global companies like Intel, HMH, AIB, Ericsson, HP and Openet as well as smaller firms such as Paddy Power, Vulcan, Openjaw and Duolog. Providing executive and team level training, coaching and consulting, Colm also speaks at international and national conferences on the interplay of agile and lean development with product and process innovation.
Fran O'Hara (Inspire Quality Services)
Fran has 30 years experience in the software industry having worked in development, test, management and consulting. Fran specialises in pragmatic approaches to lean/agile, software process improvement, quality/testing, and associated practices. For the last 8 years, his main focus has been providing agile/lean coaching, training and support to organizations transitioning to agile. He is a regular speaker at international conferences and seminars. Fran is a Certified/Professional ScrumMaster, Professional Product Owner, an ISTQB testing tutor at advanced level, a CMMI lead assessor, a fellow of the Irish Computer Society, a director of the TMMi Foundation, a member of the Irish Software Testing Board (ISTQB) and co-founder of the Irish SIG in Software Testing - SoftTest.
Iain Bright (Senior Tester - FBD)
Iain Bright has been testing for 15 years. He started in a UAT team in the financial sector before moving to Ireland. Since then he has worked on a variety of projects in different sectors both as a System and User Acceptance Tester and is currently a Senior Tester at FBD Insurance in Dublin. Overtime, his approach to testing has evolved to be based on two fundamentals: problem solving and aiming to provide a high quality service to his customers. This allows him to be flexible when testing, while also listening to his customers’ requirements.
Laurent (CEO - Hiptest)
I started working on advanced testing techniques in the 1990’s during my Phd (Model Based Testing, test design, DSL…). I have extensive experience in software testing as product owner & tester at Smartesting (2004-2014, we were developing testing products). I am focusing now on the development of a new cloud platform for Acceptance Test Driven Development at Hiptest Inc.I’ve been speaker at several conferences both academic and professional. The last ones were about testing in projects that have continuous deployment: IBM Innovate (Orlando, 2013), JFTL (Paris, 2014), Step-in summit (Bangalore, 2014), Stareast (Orlando, 2014).
Rob Healy (Kanban Product Owner - Symantec)
Rob Healy is a Kanban Product Owner for an eBusiness team at Symantec.com. Coming from an engineering background he is process orientated, has an unusual grá for statistics, and dislikes waste in all it's forms. In his spare time he runs, swims and rebuilds odd farm machinery like old jeeps and horseboxes.
David Denham (Scrum Master & Kanban coach - Symantec)
David Denham is a Scrum Master & Kanban coach for Agile teams in Symantec. Originally hailing from the world of UX Design, he believes in the power of using visualisation tools to help solve problems, and applying Lean tools to enhance agility. In his spare time he's an agile blogger and is fervent fan of 80's action movies (but only those starring Sylvester Stallone).
Rory Scanlon (Agile, Programme Manager - Globoforce)
Rory manages the Scrum Master team at Globoforce. He has been in the IT Industry for the past twenty years and has over ten years experience as an Agile practitioner and Scrummaster, and is a CSM and CSP. The aim of the Scrum Master team at Globoforce is to promote Scrum and Agile best practice across the whole organisation.
Richard Griffiths (Lead Scrum Master - Globoforce)
Richard is a Scrum Master and coach, working with two of the many scrum teams in Globoforce. He started his computing life learning how to bootstrap an ICL 2966 from the switch panel and then spent time in banking, finance, consulting and gaming working on numerous development projects in many and varied languages. Having worked in the waterfall world for too many years, he was fortunate to get the agile bug in the early 2000’s. Having seen the light, he enjoys working with multiple teams in the use and adaptation of Scrum for delivering “better software faster”.
Canice Lambe (CIO - TAS Group)
Canice Lambe is Chief Technology Officer at the TAS Group – a sales effectiveness company that provides advanced sales methodology in software on the Salesforce.com platform. Prior to working with the TAS Group, Canice worked in a senior technical capacity at a number of other indigenous software companies including Rockall Technologies, PixAlert and NewWorld Commerce.
Eamonn Hegarty (Systems Manager - Pramerica)
Eamonn has been working as a Systems Manager for Pramerica Systems Ireland in Letterkenny, Donegal for the past 5 years. Prior to this Eamonn worked for Singularity Ltd in Derry for 7 years in a variety of roles including Software Engineer, Build Master, Team Lead and Scrum Master. Eamonn started his software development career with Corporate Software & Technology in London in 1997.
Darren Byrne (Director of Quality & DevOps, Technology Services R&D - Hewlett Packard)
The Technology Services R&D team build automation and remote support software for Datacenter managers striving to implement the new style of business. By tapping into the knowledge of millions of devices and thousands of experts the solution set offers a personalized, proactive and simplified experience to managing IT infrastructures that drive business strategies forward. Since joining the organization in October 2013, Darren has been responsible for leading the overhaul of quality practices and establishing the continuous delivery pipeline under the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) umbrella. Darren has been in management for over 20 years and worked for well known technology companies such as 3Com / USRobotics, Lucent, StorageTec and Sun before joining HP in 2006. He’s lived and worked for these technology companies in Silicon Valley, Bangalore, Vietnam, Canberra and now Galway, Ireland. He earned a bachelor's degree Computer Science from Liverpool Polytechnic in 1992 and an MBA from Walden University in 2006. Darren also has several technical certifications from SNIA, Alcaltel/Lucent and Microsoft.
Eithne O'Grady (Project Manager QA Hewlett Packard Technology Services R&D)
Since joining the Hewlett Packard Technology Services R&D organization in June in 2012, Eithne has worked primarily in the QA group, providing program management governance over multiple releases. She is actively involved in leading the organization's current DevOps transition towards Continuous Delivery. Eithne has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, working for leading technology companies such as Dell Technologies, Ericsson, Vodafone and Perot Systems before joining Hewlett Packard in 2012. She holds a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Computing from University of Limerick and a Diploma in Project Management from University of Limerick.
Kevin Burke (Agile Coach - Fidelity Investments)
Kevin started out his career as a Software Developer before becoming a Scrum Master for a distributed Agile Team. As a Scrum Master Kevin (CSM, CSPO) leads process improvements and championed change initiatives. He’s currently working as an Agile Coach for Fidelity Investments and is focused on large scale organisational adoption.
