WTF are we doing?
Biography
As a software craftsman I wonder around Europe to help and challenge people in they way they deal with code quality and good coding practices. As facilitator of coderetreats and legacycoderetreats I have the pleasure of working with a lot of different people across Europe that are passionate about creating clean and beautiful applications that bring value to their customers. These retreats are a perfect way to practice techniques and for me to experiment with different ways to help people learn about clean code and good code design.
Description
How many times have you had that discussion about how much design upfront, what kind of tests you write and where to start development?
London school, Chicago school, old school, WTF are we doing? What is your development style and even better, how do we explain that to each other?
Don’t. Visualise it!
In this session we will show you how you can make this discussion easier. You will discuss your development style with other participants, get a better understanding of how to use this visual tool with your team(s) and WTF you are doing, model your development style, compare this to others’ and find synergies. You will model your current style as well as your desired style. Make style decisions explicit and easier to discuss.
We promise that this session will be better than this abstract! |
